Job Title Major Donors Officer Department Marketing & Communications Location Mumbai/ New Delhi/ Bangalore Level / Pay Band L-4 Contract 3 Year Fixed Term Reports To Fundraising Coordinator - Retention, Channels & Servicing Scope of Position To help Oxfam India work on raising revenue from the individuals in the region through major contributions Key Responsibilities Fundraising – Major Donors: - To develop and implement a dynamic and effective major donors plan for existing and new high value donors in the region - Take initiative to increase income and results that could lead to up scaling to new cities and/or ramping up the team in Mumbai. - Prepare and deliver creative and professional fundraising proposals and presentations to decision makers including senior management of corporates. - Work closely together with program department to translate existing projects into creative proposals. - Use existing donor database and create bonding / trust with the donors. - Improve contact with donors to introduce new product like trusts and wills. - Create activities to recruit new high value donors. - Designing all necessary materials in collaboration with communications team. - Organize the agreed arrangements, reports and meetings back to the high value donors. - Graduating existing donors towards Legacy givers. Monitoring and reporting: - Weekly work plan to line manager - MIS through monthly report on monthly basis to line manager Other Fundraising activities: - Participate in new fundraising strategies, overall annual plans, taking up other fundraising activities wherever and whenever needed. Qualifications and Experience - Minimum Qualification Graduation from any stream - Total 4 years experience required in Fundraising - At least 2 years experience in development sector would be desirable. - Have a Social Entrepreneur Approach to non- profit sustainability. - Highly performance oriented/ target oriented. - Excellent team player, with the ability works in a collaborative and consultative manner. - Innovative, Aggressive & persistent. - Assumes responsibility and accountability for performance. - Confident, pleasing personality. - Good Communication Skill in English (both verbal and written). - Result driven to reach ambitious growth. - Understanding of different fundraising channels like DRTV, Face 2 Face, Telemarketing, Direct Mail, online, etc. Relocation During the course of employment the post holder may be required to move base on a temporary or permanent basis to any workplace controlled by Oxfam India Travel Ability to travel within country and abroad as required.
