Lutheran World Relief (LWR) an US based International Non-Profit Organization works to promote sustainable development with justice and dignity by working in partnership with grassroots or non-governmental organization. In India LWR supports emergencies and long term rural development projects to improve the quality of life of socio-economically marginalized communities. LWR seeks a qualified and an efficient candidate for the FAA position in its India office. The job is contractual in nature but renewable based on satisfactory performance and meeting key deliverables for this position. Remuneration will not be a constraint for the candidate with the required qualification and experience.
The primary role of the Administration and Finance Assistant will be to provide administrative, finance and procurement related support service to the country office. .Applications of only locally based persons (from Kolkata)will be considered
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Administrative support
· Provide administration and logistic support for the day to day operation of the office · Assist country office for all reception (including visitor hospitality related) and secretarial duties. · Attend to all communication requirements of the office such as sending official emails and faxes when needed and attending to official telephone calls · Manage hard and soft copy filing system and keep filing system up-todate · Manage logistics for local staff travel including train, air tickets reservation, transportation, visas and hotel bookings · Coordinate travel arrangements and logistics for in-country group visits and/or headquarters (US) personnel. · Supporting in managing procurement processes for office asset purchases and assist in the preparation of TORs / documentation for procurement of consultants services or goods/assets for the office · Handle purchase of office stationery items and record keeping · Support Management of office assets /inventory and maintain updated management system of all assets · Other duties as assigned
2. Finance and Accounting support
· Management of Office Petty Cash and cash book maintenance · Assisting in processes relating to official payments 3. Program support · Assist in data base updating and maintenance · Handle management of logistics needed for organizing meetings , trainings etc · Maintain documentation on partner and program related events · Update and maintain partner profiles.
Required Selection Criteria - Efficient and reliable - Energetic, hard working, committed with can-do attitude
Academic Qualifications / Experience /Language
· Bachelor’s Degree/University degree in finance, accounting, public administration or related field · At least 1-2 years of experience in similar position · Proficiency with Microsoft office · Excellent writing and communication skills in English
