Data and Documentation OfficerPosted date: 28-Jul-2010
Location: Guwhati
Under the direction and supervision of the Regional Project Manager, the Data and Documentation Officer will be responsible for providing support for data management at regional level including data quality assurance as well as knowledge management and documentation.
Specific Responsibilities
· Support timely and quality data management and data quality assurance at regional level and below. · Provide support in preparing monthly, quarterly, annual reports for regional/ district levels. · Prepare process documents, newsletters, etc. in relation to project implementation. · Document success stories/ best practices/ innovations in project implementation. · Capacitate district teams in data management as well as knowledge management and documentation. · Support assessments, research. field studies, etc. · Perform any other duties related to the Round 9 project, as necessary.
Qualification and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from a recognized University; • 3 years of experience in development projects, in relation to data management, knowledge management and documentation.
Skills
• Track record of undertaking a range of tasks simultaneously, adherence to time lines and ensuring delivery of quality reports on data management, knowledge management, documentation • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English • Good coordination skills• Good interpersonal skills including professionalism and a cooperative attitude; • Ability to interact effectively, both outside and within the Caritas India; • Proficiency in MS Office Suite Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, etc) • Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team with various counterparts by maintaining strong working relationships.
Length of Assignment
Travel Data and Documentation Officer will be expected to travel in the northeastern states of India, as necessary.
